Anthony has been on the tools for 14 years and has painted more than 58 houses across the Manawatu, from single rooms and rentals through to full exterior repaints and new builds. That is long enough to have seen what fails early, which is mostly why we are fussy about prep.
How much does it cost to paint a house?
It depends on the size, the surface and how much prep it needs, so anyone giving you a number over the phone is guessing. What we can promise is that the written quote you get after we have seen it is the price you pay. We will also tell you where you could save money, for example doing the exterior this year and the interior next.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. We come and look, measure up and email you an itemised quote within 48 hours. There is no obligation and no follow up sales call.
How long will my job take?
A typical three bedroom interior is around a week. A full exterior repaint is usually one to two weeks depending on prep and weather. Your quote gives you a start date and a finish date, and if weather moves it we tell you the same day.
Do I need to move out?
Almost never. We work room by room, wrap what needs wrapping and use low odour products so the space is usable again the same evening. If a job does need you out of the way for a day, we will tell you at quoting time, not on the morning.
What areas do you cover?
Palmerston North and the wider Manawatu. That includes Feilding, Ashhurst, Bunnythorpe, Longburn, Linton, Sanson, Rongotea, Foxton and Levin. Further afield, ask and we will tell you honestly whether the travel makes sense.
Are you insured, and is the work guaranteed?
Yes to both. We carry public liability insurance on every job, and workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months in writing. Paint manufacturer warranties are on top of that and we will note them on the quote.
